Life Changes

Most of you will know by now that I met my soulmate late last year, and we got married in March this year. A Kiwi husband means I will now be staying in New Zealand, which was unforeseen, but we love being surprised by God. I am also nice and handy with my mother, so I can help her out now that she's in her 90s. Even though this has been a huge change for both of us, we are adjusting very well. We both enjoy e-biking, motorbike riding (I am just the pillion), hiking, walking, cafes and Church. Life is good, and we are grateful.

Living Wisdom Australia to become Living Wisdom Life

Since I will now be residing in Nelson, New Zealand, I have decided to change my name to better reflect this new chapter. For over 20 years, I have been known as Living Wisdom Australia, but I will soon rebrand to Living Wisdom Life.

This new identity will encompass my counselling practice, online workshops, any training I conduct (typically by invitation), as well as the My Life Rulz resources and school program.

I am saddened to bid farewell to my ministry in Australia; it has been a true privilege, and over the years I have encountered so many wonderful individuals. I am grateful to each of you and want to express my thanks for the support, friendships, fellowship, and love you have shown me. Many of you remain in contact, and I truly cherish those friendships. As my entire family is still in Australia, it will always hold a significant place in my life and travels!

Workshops in 2026

On November 2nd, I will hold my final online workshop for 2026. I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting these sessions, and the participation and feedback have been very encouraging.

This year's topics included:

- The Power of Wise Vulnerability

- Negotiation for Everyday Life

- Escape the Offence Trap

The final workshop of the year addresses a topic I find both meaningful and empowering. We will delve into understanding and managing difficult people. Unfortunately, for various reasons, there appear to be more challenging individuals to comprehend and handle than ever before. They are truly our 'divine invitation' to grow in our life skills and courage!

Please register for this workshop if you have someone in your life who seems more challenging than you consider 'normal', or perhaps you realise that you can be quite challenging yourself.

All my workshops are available in my online store; take a moment to explore what is offered to empower, assist, and equip you.

Online Workshops for 2027

We are currently considering workshop topics for the coming year, and we believe that addressing the empowerment of parents, children, and teens is certainly worthwhile.I often talk to parents who have lost their passion for parenting and are feeling worn out, frustrated, powerless, and discouraged. Yelling seems to have replaced smacking as a means to gain some cooperation, but it has minimal impact and is certainly not a healthy way for a parent or child to achieve the necessary cooperation.

I have identified at least eight common 'sentences' that I plan to address in next year's training.

“My child is anxious.”

“My child lacks resilience.”

“My child struggles to manage their emotions.”

“My child is having difficulties with friendships/bullying.”

“My child is always on a screen.”

“My child lacks self-belief.”

“My child gets trapped in negative thinking.”

“I don't know what to say or do when my child is struggling.”

Do any of these resonate with you?

Big News for My Life Rulz - especially for Schools

At long last, I'm thrilled to announce that My Life Rulz for Schools is set to launch for Primary Schools. We aim to release the Intermediate (Middle School) lessons next month and the remaining High School years' lessons by the year's end. Several counsellors, educators, and I have dedicated six years to this project, and reaching this milestone is significant!

We know how hard it is for teachers and homeschoolers to watch children and teens struggle with intense pressures and constant distractions.

That’s why our team of professional counsellors and educators created My Life Rulz - a resilience programme that teaches students aged 4-18 to replace harmful thinking with truth, show empathy, set boundaries, and make wise choices, all through a biblical worldview.

This life-changing programme gives teachers and parents the practical tools they need to help this generation grow strong minds and healthy emotions, and leave them with resilience that lasts a lifetime.

I would be very grateful if you could share this website link with anyone you know who is involved with a school in any way. I need your assistance in spreading the word. If you could spend 5 or 10 minutes exploring the website, I would deeply appreciate it.

New Resources

Jungle of Belonging

A few years back, some of you might recall that my granddaughter, Olive, and I collaborated on a book titled The Cat Surprise. I wrote the text while Olive, then 11, provided the illustrations. Now at 14, she has beautifully illustrated my latest book, Jungle of Belonging. This book, which I co-authored, incorporates the ten 'rules' from My Life Rulz through stories featuring jungle animals. I sincerely hope there are still parents who read to their children, as it is a wonderful way to connect, teach, captivate, and equip them. I fondly remember the joy of reading Pippi Longstocking and other classics. Olive and I invite you to explore our new publication, available in both hard copy and e-book formats.

Teo Reo Cards Truth Cards

A few weeks ago, I spoke with a young man who mentioned that his parents had given him a set of My Life Rulz Truth Cards about 12 years prior. He shared with me the various insights from those cards, which helped lift him out of the sadness he felt as a young boy. Over time, this small set of truth cards encouraged him to seek counselling and then go on to attend a two-week Living Wisdom School/Bootcamp. Now, he is contemplating the power of truth and his career path. Since I am now living in New Zealand, the next logical step was to hire a reliable translator and graphic artist to create these beautiful Te Reo Cards for Kiwi families and schools. They are available as hard copy and digital.

Counselling

I continue to find joy in my counselling practice, and typically, there is only a couple of weeks to wait. Feel free to go online and schedule an appointment as needed. Life involves seeking truth, wisdom, and insight, along with acquiring the tools and breakthroughs necessary for success and personal growth.
