Learning how to trust wisely is one of life’s most important skills. Some of the most pain-filled lives got there by not understanding trust. They either trusted too much or didn’t trust at all. Either extreme can cause a lot of pain. Trusting requires us to make ourselves very vulnerable to another’s thoughts and choices – sometimes extremely so, and sometimes for life.
